Job Description
As a Reserve Preventive Medicine Officer, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the health of Army Soldiers and their families, providing health and wellness opportunities, and leading public health initiatives. This position offers unique training, leadership opportunities, and the chance to serve both the military and civilian communities.
Key Responsibilities
Prevent disease and injury in Soldiers and their families
Establish and direct physical medicine and rehabilitation programs
Train and mentor other medical personnel
Lead Force Health Protection efforts
Direct and oversee execution of public health functions: assessment, policy development, and assurance
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
Eligible for board certification
Completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education internship
Completed a training program in preventive medicine
U.S. citizen for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
