As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will oversee inventory management for the store, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing excellent customer service. This role involves training, monitoring inventory practices, and engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and monitor inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, and ordering
Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance
Coach team members on inventory management processes
Verify pharmacy shipments and maintain accurate inventory counts
Assist with training and personal development of team members
Required Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only)
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution
Experience in identifying operational issues and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
