Job Description
Join Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional emergency and critical care to patients. Be part of a supportive team that values growth and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide triage and stabilize incoming patients
Administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
Assist with diagnostics (radiographs, bloodwork, ECGs)
Manage fluid therapy and anesthesia monitoring
Communicate effectively with doctors, teammates, and clients
Maintain medical records and treatment sheets
Support patient admissions, discharges, and client education
Assist in emergency procedures and critical care support
Required Qualifications
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
Strong organizational skills
Client communication skills
Comfortable with advanced diagnostics and anesthetic monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician/assistant
Tech-savvy with veterinary software systems
