HumanEdge Travel Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OB/GYN for a travel nursing job in Lima, Ohio.

Shift Details:
Type: Varied (Negotiable for Days or Nights)
Hours: 12-hour shifts (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM and 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
On Call: None
The OB/GYN Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, compassionate care to women throughout all stages of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. This RN will function within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures—ensuring safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care.
The RN will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, assist with procedures and deliveries, and provide patient education and emotional support. Flexibility with work schedule changes is required to meet unit needs.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric and gynecological patients in a hospital setting.
Perform assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Assist physicians during labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and surgical procedures as needed.
Function as a First Assist and Scrub Nurse during OB procedures (highly preferred).
Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs using advanced monitoring technology.
Administer medications, including IV therapy, per physician orders and facility protocol.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding childbirth, recovery, and newborn care.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
Supervise and mentor LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries as part of the care team.
Document accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of OB experience — Required
Travel Experience: Must have completed at least one travel assignment — Required
First Assist & Scrub OB Experience: Highly Preferred
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) — Required (can pend at time of submission)
ACLS (AHA) or ALSO Certification — Required
NRP — Required
STABLE Certification — Required
Fetal Monitoring Certification — Required
