Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting services and ceremonies while promoting their emotional and ethical well-being. This role allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of those serving in the U.S. Navy.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders in conducting religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
