Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside facilities operate at maximum efficiency. This role involves working on various types of cables and hardware, performing construction work, and collaborating with a dedicated team to support America’s fastest network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including various types of cables and hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as required
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
