Key Responsibilities
Cut meat for sale to customers
Service guests by answering questions and/or filling special orders
Rotate and check code dates on products
Wrap and maintain meat case
Provide products and services that meet customer requirements
Maintain safety as the top priority
Familiarize with store products to assist customers
Cultivate a foodie culture
Smile and greet customers
Make ground meat and tray meat
Inspire Team Members and guests with passion for food
Properly handle products and equipment according to safety guidelines
Provide active sampling opportunities
Unload deliveries and check in truck
Maintain cleanliness to ensure safety and sanitation
Accurately record and assist in preparation of special orders
Assist in maintaining meat cooler and freezer efficiency
Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals
Required Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment
6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
