Job Description

Join BAS Healthcare as a Gastroenterology Physician and provide specialized care in a well-established 300-bed facility in Tucson, AZ. Make an impact through diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while enjoying a vibrant Southwestern lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Handle 10-20 patient encounters per shift in a busy gastroenterology department
Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsies and foreign body removal
Conduct PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
Perform lower GI endoscopy procedures including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
Conduct colonoscopies with biopsies and polyp excisions
Perform small bowel biopsies as required

Required Qualifications

Board certification eligibility in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
Active Arizona medical license
DEA certification
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)
Experience with insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
