Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized care for patients with skin, bowel, bladder diseases, and complex wounds
Function as a clinician, coordinator, educator, and consultant
Accountable for consultation, clinical teaching, and interdisciplinary cooperation
Development and management of professional practice models
Direct patient care and patient/family consultation and education
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Graduate of an accredited Wound, Ostomy and Continence Program
Minimum of 3-5 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Care Nursing
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
One year of wound, ostomy and continence nursing experience
