Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend & every other holiday
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Charting System: PointClickCare
Certifications Required: BLS
🔹 Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to high-acuity patients transitioning from intensive or acute care to lower-level care.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize early signs of deterioration or improvement.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and lab values to detect potential complications.
- Manage complex wound care, tracheostomy, and feeding tubes when required.
- Provide compassionate bedside care, ensuring patients’ physical and emotional needs are met during the night shift.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, CNAs, and therapists.
- Document care provided, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in PointClickCare.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and facility safety protocols.
- Participate in shift hand-offs, rounding, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Educate patients and families about post-discharge care plans and medication instructions.
