• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Facility Features: Level 1 obstetrical service line, Level 2 NICU, 6 LDRs, 6 postpartum beds, 1 antepartum bed, 1 triage bed, 2 c-section suites

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience with prior travel nursing assignment, or 3 years of L&D experience without travel
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (compliant with NLC guidelines)
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Skills: Circulate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Triage, IV Start
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps with Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Circulate and assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Perform triage assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
• Start IVs and administer medications as ordered
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare facility protocols
