Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Medical Assistant Instructor, where you'll play a vital role in patient care and training of staff. You will assist with patient intake, administer injections, and ensure compliance with health standards, all within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from the exam room
Complete patient intake according to protocol
Clean and straighten exam room between patients
Prepare syringes and administer injections
Assist provider with injectable procedures
Prepare pathology and lab specimens
Respond to patient questions
Schedule or re-schedule appointments
Work in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
Maintain medication samples and records
Train other employees on medical assistant duties
Assist with check-in or check-out procedures
Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
Completion of a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant program
At least one (1) year of medical assisting experience (preferred)
Professionalism and strong customer service skills
Ability to communicate with doctors and patients clearly
Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
