Job Description

Join USAA as a Senior Injury Adjuster - UM, where you will manage moderately complex bodily injury claims and provide exceptional member service. Work in a hybrid role, adjusting claims and collaborating with team members while upholding USAA's core values of integrity and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjust attorney-involved and non-represented bodily injury claims
  • Investigate loss details and determine legal liability
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and adjudicate claims timely
  • Prioritize and manage assigned claims workload
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues
  • Deliver best-in-class member service
  • Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations
  • Ensure risks are identified and controlled according to policies

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • 2 years of auto claims adjusting experience
  • 1 year of injury adjusting experience
  • Proficient knowledge of auto claims contract and legal regulations
  • Proficient negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated time-management and decision-making skills
  • Proven investigatory and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
  • Ability to exercise sound financial judgment
  • Proficient knowledge of coverage evaluation and loss assessment
  • Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of auto liability/casualty adjusting experience
  • 1 year or more experience in Uninsured motorist (UM) claims
  • Ongoing professional development with a focus on Insurance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
