Base pay range

$78,000.00/yr - $234,000.00/yr

Veterans Evaluation Services is seeking qualified Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to join our provider network as an independent contractor to perform disability examinations for Veterans at the following location: Harrisville, MI.

Your Role as a Provider

As a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions for your patients. As an independent contractor with VES, you apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. As a certified medical disability examiner, you will:

  • Gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record reviews, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.
  • Develop a medical opinion on the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service.
  • Ensure that the timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.

Qualifications

Ophthalmologist / Optometrist:

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine / Doctorate Degree in Optometry
  • An active and unrestricted license in the state where exams are performed
  • Must have a practice location within 100 miles
  • Must have visual field testing capabilities
