Description

This is a group of highly autonomous nurses who follow surgeon/anesthesia guidelines and evaluate patients readiness for their surgical procedure. They do not do any
physical testing but however they do a thorough investigation of the patients
medical record and then call the patient and provide education to the patient
on how to best prepare for surgery. A good candidate
would be a nurse that has either done this before or a pre/post nurse from a
primarily ambulatory surgical center.

The facility is equipped with two complete operating room suites. Our surgical and anesthesiology teams are highly trained in major surgeries, allowing us to offer our surrounding communities excellent surgical care close to home.

Our surgeons provide a wide spectrum of surgical services. Local and regional surgeons are available to provide surgical specialties in the areas of:

• endoscopy
• gynecology
• ophthalmology
• oral surgery
• orthopedics
• podiatry
• urology

Requirements

A REMOTE ASSIGNMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS NEED.

• Minimum 2 years Pre-Testing/Admission experience - Required
• Surgical experience required
• Pre-Op experience required
• Previous travel experience - strongly encouraged
• High proficiency required for the following procedures: ortho general and
  total joints both upper and lower extremity, neurosurgical lumbar surgeries,
  general surgery such as hernia repair and mastectomies, male urological
  procedure and endoscopy
• Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
