Description
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Ambulatory Position for RN in Family Medicine clinic. Day to day tasks are mostly not hands on patient interaction. Mostly desk work; phone triage, appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, patient chart review, etc
Skills
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
REQUIRED:
Minimum 2 years experience as an RN in a Med Surg level role
Previous experience working in a family medicine clinic setting
Current MI RN licensure
Current BLS certification through AHA
Excellent communication skills in person via messenger and via phone
Education
1. BSN preferred
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
