Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery in alignment with Select Medical’s core values. This role also carries charge responsibilities, with additional pay provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning, discharge preparation, and weekly patient re-evaluations.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff, ensuring safe and efficient unit operations.
• Promote a culture of safety by adhering to hospital policies, hazard reporting, and safe patient handling practices.
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed, providing leadership and direction for staff.

Requirements:

• Current BLS
• ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience

• PCU and Charge Nurse experience required
