• Shift: 12-hour nights (night shift nursing jobs)

• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• PCA Support: Regularly scheduled support staff
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required)
• Previous experience in telemetry nursing or stepdown units preferred
• Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, central lines, and titrating cardiac drips

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; manage waveform monitors and collaborate with telemetry technicians
• Administer medications and titrate cardiac drips (heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, insulin, heart failure drips)
• Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, and post-operative conditions
• Manage patients with multiple drains, central lines, chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and advocate for patients
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety and privacy standards
