Job Description

Join Optum as a Patient Care Coordinator and make a difference in patients' lives. You'll work in a dynamic environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to provide excellent customer service and support care teams in achieving their goals. Your role includes managing patient documentation, scheduling, and maintaining medical records while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient signatures for required documents
  • Accurate and complete occupational medicine registration workflow
  • File and maintain medical records
  • Correct registration work queue errors
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Work in claims edit and referrals work queues
  • Adhere to Optum Employee Policies and medical requirements
  • Participate in care planning and coordination
  • Ensure continuity of care through scheduling and tracking
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Notify clinical staff of schedule changes
  • Organize and maintain medical records

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical front office position
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to use multiple web applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Epic EMR software
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
