West Virginia Nursing Job Details

• Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 – Eastern Panhandle (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry/PCU Units
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/13/2025 – End: 2/12/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1970-$2110
• Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday
• Holiday Coverage: Must be willing to assist with upcoming holidays
• Charting System: EPIC EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Progressive Care nursing experience
• Proficient in reading and documenting cardiac strips every 4 hours
• Willingness to float to similar clinical units as needed
• Compliance with facility dress code (navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, tattoos covered)
• Ability to start before Christmas

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care on Telemetry/PCU units (1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips Cardiac Monitors
• Administer and monitor set-rate IV drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, Nitro)
• Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy staff (available 24/7)
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Assist with precepting new nurses and charge nurse duties
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients
