📋 Job Overview
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology Unit
- Location: Lutheran Hospital, Indiana
- Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Schedule: Every third weekend, holidays on rotation
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours bi-weekly
- Start Date: ASAP
- Call Requirements: None
- Floating: Required
🏥 Unit & Facility Details
- Unit Type: Med/Surg Oncology
- Patient Ratio: 5:1, occasionally 6:1
- Beds on Unit: 24
- EMR System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Chemo/Bio Certification: Required within 1 year for Lutheran employees
✅ Requirements
- Licensure: Indiana RN license (active)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience – Required
- Oncology background – Preferred
- Must have recent bedside experience
- Compliance Documents:
- Driver’s license with permanent home address
- Active RN license and certifications attached to submission
- Must live 50+ miles from facility (no local candidates)
🩺 Scope of Work
- Direct patient care in a medical/surgical oncology unit
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
- Provide patient education and support
🚫 Blackout Dates / Holiday Requirements
- Every other holiday required
- No call requirements
- Must adhere to rotation schedule
