Job Description

Join Amazon Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Manager and lead a dedicated team to enhance the customer experience while ensuring safety and compliance in pharmacy operations. Drive quality initiatives and foster talent development in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of operations
  • Manage daily operations and meet delivery times
  • Evaluate physician medication orders and make therapy change recommendations
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for employees
  • Educate pharmacy staff on policies and best quality practices
  • Drive quality and process change initiatives
  • Manage workflow and delegate tasks effectively
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws related to pharmacy practices
  • Coordinate with corporate legal team for licensure maintenance
  • Align policies with accrediting/licensing body requirements
  • Manage site growth and workforce planning needs
  • Develop talent and engage with the workforce
  • Implement changes to better service customers and reduce costs
  • Maintain customer profiles within pharmacy systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Active/Good Standing Pharmacist license in Utah
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage detail and establish root cause
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 1 year Staff Pharmacist experience within Amazon Pharmacy (if currently an Amazon employee)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle
  • Ability to handle changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop others into higher levels of leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical thinker with project management skills
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs
