Key Job Details – Seattle ER RN Travel Contract

• Location: Seattle, WA 98107 (Ballard neighborhood)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Size: 18 beds, average 65 visits/day
• Floating: Required to Edmonds and other Swedish campuses
• Weekend Coverage: On call every other weekend

Estimated Weekly Salary

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1810 - $1940

ER RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years with strong skillsets considered)
• Active Washington or Compact RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Experience in General Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatrics)
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills (dysrhythmia interpretation & management)
• IV therapy/phlebotomy: blood product administration, central line care, starting IVs
• Respiratory care: CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management
• Procedural sedation administration
• Triage experience
• Charge nurse and EPIC charting experience preferred
• Professional scrubs (any color)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to adults, pediatrics, geriatrics, and adolescents
• Assist with procedures: breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, rapid sequence intubation, trach care, ventilator management, blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, warming/cooling blankets, 12-lead EKG, tele interpretation, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, port-a-cath/vascular device access, syringe pumps, triple lumen catheter
• Manage patients with diverse diagnoses: sepsis, AMI, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, fractures, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric and chemical dependency cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, interpretation services
• Float to other Swedish campuses as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation every other weekend
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system
• Uphold patient safety and infection control standards
