Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Beckman factories to generate user requirement specifications and design documentation
Lead project execution covering estimation, budgeting, design, and implementation
Design, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems
Collaborate with contracted equipment suppliers to design automation equipment
Develop automation concepts and provide architectural level design
Communicate effectively with plant team members to facilitate troubleshooting
Create controls engineering standard work best practices
Develop automation-related design calculations and perform quality reviews of project design submittals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Mechatronics/Automation Engineering discipline and 9+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 7+ years of experience
PLC programming experience with ladder logic & structured text
Experience with electromechanical systems including AC & DC motor drives, servo motors, HMIs, I/O hardware, machine vision, and machine safety
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Process and continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with complex mechanical systems including CAD modeling
Experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix family of programmable controllers
Digital integration leveraging PLC & SCADA systems
