Schedule & Contract Details Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Hours: 48 hours per week (36-hour option available; OT billed after 48 hours) Contract Length: 13 weeks Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (required) Holiday Policy: No Christmas RTO allowed RTO Policy: No RTO requests permitted after booking; unapproved absences may result in contract cancellation Floating: Required as needed across similar units Orientation: 24 hours Scheduling: Self-scheduling system Required Qualifications Minimum Experience: 2 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry RN experience Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted Certifications:BLS (AHA required) EKG testing required prior to start Skills:IV insertion and management Telemetry monitoring Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills EMR Experience: Must have prior EPIC experience Preferred Qualifications Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Experience: Previous experience in a crisis response or float pool environment Patient Population & Unit Information Unit Type: Medical-Surgical (no longer accepting cardiac telemetry patients) Typical Patient Diagnoses: General med-surg conditions requiring telemetry monitoring, post-surgical recovery, and chronic illness management Patient Ratios:Standard ratio: 1:6 Maximum ratio: 1:7 (during high census or critical staffing) Systems Used: EPIC (charting), Pyxis (medication management), SBAR (handoff communication) Additional Facility Notes Locals Accepted: Yes (rate difference applies) Scrub Color: Navy and/or White Testing: Must pass EKG test prior to start Culture: Collaborative team with strong emphasis on patient-centered care and professional growth
