Job Description
Cummins Aerospace seeks a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Engineering Department, contributing to the manufacturing of aircraft landing gear. This role offers an exciting chance to grow within a dynamic company that values career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively in both team and independent settings
Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills
Ensure accuracy with close attention to detail and self-review of work
Develop and maintain 3D models using SolidWorks
Generate and manage 2D technical drawings based on 3D models using SolidWorks
Track project time using the MRP system
Submit sketches for approval and redlines to the Director of Engineering
Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to refine and approve sketches
Annotate customer drawings using Discus software
Manage sketch annotations within SolidWorks
Upload and maintain sketches within the MRP system
Accurately document project updates and approvals using the MRP system
Proactively meet deadlines and go the extra mile when needed
Ensure personal and workplace safety at all times
Adhere to all company policies and guidelines
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
3-5 years in CAD drafting and design within the aerospace industry
Proficiency in ERP Systems, MasterCAM, SolidWorks, Discus
