Direct the daily operations, strategic planning, and clinical services of the Emergency Department in alignment with system goals and standards. Cultivate a high-performing team culture by fostering collaboration, professional development, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders including EMS, trauma services, physician leadership, and community agencies. Oversee department budget, compliance, resource utilization, and performance improvement to ensure financial and operational excellence. Home to the only Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento our ED is California's third busiest. This high-acuity, 156-bed unit sees over 350 patients daily and is staffed by more than 500 clinical and support team members. As part of the hospitals safety-net mission, the ED serves a five-county area with a wide range of urgent and complex care needs.
