Position Overview: Paint Filler Operator - Industrial Coatings
We're hiring a Paint Filler Operator to join a leading manufacturer and distributor of paints and coatings. In this hands-on role, you'll work in a fast-paced production environment to fill containers with traffic paints and other coating materials. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential in a stable, family-owned company.
Responsibilities:
- Read and follow batch tickets to ensure accurate product measurement.
- Fill 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon containers using paint flow spigots.
- Secure lids on filled containers and stack them on pallets.
- Complete final batch documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including use of respirator and PPE.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read and write English proficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and standing for long shifts.
- Factory experience required; chemical or paint background is a plus.
- Steel toe boots and safety glasses required; bring steel toes to the interview.
- Able to work in varying temperatures (hot/cold) and wear a respirator.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Pay: $20 per hour
- Half-hour lunch
- Contract-to-hire position
