Job Description
Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Patient Accounts Representative and play a crucial role in managing financial transactions within a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of insurance processes including deductibles, out-of-pockets, and copays
Accurately record payments from patients and insurance companies
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts for discrepancies
Interact with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
Maintain detailed records of all interactions and transactions
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations
Generate reports on accounts receivable status and collections efforts
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
