Portland, OR Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Location: Portland, OR 97210 (Travel Nursing Assignment)
• Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Unit: Women's Services – Labor & Delivery
• Start Date: December 17, 2025
• End Date: March 18, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), variable days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Occasional weekends as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2180-$2340

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application/fingerprints at submission (pending accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Level I Nursery and LDRP experience required
• Experience circulating for C-sections and providing postpartum care
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications preferred
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Locals not accepted (must live more than 50 miles from any Legacy facility)
• References: 1 Charge, Supervisor, or Manager reference required (preferably within last year)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections
• Stabilize and care for newborns, including neonatal resuscitation and blood sugar management
• Educate and support new mothers with breastfeeding and postpartum recovery
• Perform newborn assessments and provide couplet care
• Administer medications and monitor for complications such as pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, and neonatal distress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• Document all patient care and interventions accurately in Epic
• Float to other nursing units within scope as needed
• Complete all required education and orientation modules within specified timeframes
