Key Responsibilities
Performs 2D, M-Mode Doppler, and exercise stress echocardiography as directed by physicians
Provides Patient Centered Care through patient education and timely test results
Compiles timely reports for Cardiologist analysis and interpretation
Maintains echocardiography equipment and orders supplies
Completes preliminary report forms for cardiovascular reporting system
Follows infection control procedures
Participates in professional development and attends required meetings
Maintains interdepartmental professionalism and communication
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Completion of a formal accredited Ultrasound training program
Meets the requirements for registry by ARDMS in adult Echo and Stress Echo Registry within one year of employment if not registered
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
2 years of cardiac scanning experience with adult patients
