CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Tucson, Arizona 85745
• Healthcare Setting: Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – 40-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (weekly starts available)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2, with clinical tech support
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification – required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to advanced cardiac and critical care treatments
• Manage complex procedures including CRRT, Impella, IABP, EKOS, and other advanced cardiac devices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
