Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical laboratory analyses and examinations on blood, urine, body fluids and tissues.
Interpret clinical test results and correlate them with patient history and diagnosis.
Communicate critical lab results to physicians and medical personnel.
Perform quality control and maintenance on laboratory instruments.
Prepare reagents and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
Train new and existing employees on procedures and instrumentation.
Conduct research and development of new technologies.
Required Qualifications
BS in Medical Technology or BS in Related Science
New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
4+ years of relevant Medical Technology Laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Previous experience in a Clinical or Pathology Laboratory
Previous experience in a laboratory supervisory or leadership position
