Key Responsibilities
Set up patients in the exam room
Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and medication reconciliation
Discuss changes in patient’s health since last visit
Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures
Prepare medications for injections
Handle phone messages, faxes, and medical reception responsibilities
Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and general office procedures
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant Certification (current)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of one year’s experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting
1-3 years of prior experience in ambulatory care
