Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Float Pool 

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island 

Job Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA) 

Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:30 (36 hours/week) 

 

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Float Pool for a critical long-term assignment. This role is essential to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations across various units. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, experienced, and flexible professional who can seamlessly integrate into different teams and handle a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care on various Medical/Surgical units as assigned by the Float Pool.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in Medical/Surgical nursing.
  • Critical care experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to float between different units.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Must be available to start ASAP.
