Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Cardiopulmonary)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• Job Description: -
• Provide respiratory therapy treatments (IPPB, aerosol, chest physiotherapy, breathing exercises, pulmonary function tests).
• Administer oxygen therapy, monitor equipment, and manage home oxygen/breathing setups.
• Perform EKGs (routine, stat, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker checks) and maintain related equipment.
• Respond to Code Blue calls, perform CPR, and manage airway/ventilation equipment.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with physicians on appropriate therapies.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and departmental charges.
• Assist in quality management, departmental operations, and staff/patient education.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork in all patient care settings.
  Required Skills & Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Licensed in the State of Iowa as RRT, RCP, or CRT, RCP
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications; PALS preferred/required
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications
• Strong ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend fluent English
