Job Description

Join Optum as a Part-Time Associate Patient Care Coordinator where you'll be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring accurate patient information management. Key Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and patients in person or via telephone/video conferencing
  • Enters and updates patient demographic and financial information
  • Obtains applications and forms, ensuring signatures are on file
  • Provides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities
  • Works with partnering departments to complete patient encounters
  • Coordinates patient admission needs and bed assignments
  • Meets or exceeds audit accuracy standards
  • Maintains a safe environment complying with policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work an average of 32 hours per week between 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday
  • Full Flu vaccination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient care settings
