Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hand calculations for higher detail analysis models
  • Conduct detailed thermal analyses for program challenges
  • Generate test plans to validate analyses and hardware compliance
  • Analyze test data for model validation and correlation
  • Collaborate on problems of moderate complexity
  • Review work for technical accuracy with peers
  • Present results to various stakeholders
  • Document work and archive for reference
  • Act as a technical leader and/or lead analysis/test teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with thermal analysis tools (FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, ANSYS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical principles for classical thermal analysis
  • Thermal testing experience: planning, execution, data reduction
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 8+ years of professional experience in thermal analysis
  • Experience with solid modeling CAD tools (CREO or equivalent)
  • Experience in Electronics Cooling and Aerodynamic Heating Analyses
  • Experience leading a team of thermal analysts
  • Experience presenting to external customers
  • Ability to travel for program activities
  • Advanced degree in related disciplines (ABET preferred)
