Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician, where you'll ensure that our outside plant facilities operate at maximum efficiency. With a focus on teamwork and organization, you'll perform essential tasks involving the installation and maintenance of cables and infrastructure, contributing to America's fastest and most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant, including cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and moving/lifting items not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
