Job Description

Join DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist and make a significant impact in a leading trauma center. You will perform essential diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records
  • Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history
  • Explain procedures to patients including risks and benefits
  • Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images
  • Review images and document exceptions
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Provide imaging education to residents and new employees
  • Take call/standby as required

Required Qualifications

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
  • Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center
  • Experience in a culturally diverse atmosphere
