Key Responsibilities
Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement and manage surgical patient care
Implement physician orders and administer medications
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
Guide ancillary personnel and maintain nursing standards
Act as a patient advocate during surgical procedures
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred)
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in the surgical setting
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in CNOR
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
