Join CalPortland as an Industrial Surface Mine Electrician, where you'll be responsible for the electrical repair and maintenance of vital machinery at our aggregate production facility. Key Responsibilities
Maintains and troubleshoots electrical equipment and power distribution throughout the plant
Establishes procedures to locate and correct electrical problems
Performs high and low voltage splices, terminations and stress cones
Installs and maintains high, medium and low voltage power controls on equipment
Performs maintenance to repair or replace defective parts
Troubleshoots electrical problems in power circuits 120 - 12,470 volts
Performs various electrical tests to determine the cause of issues
Performs adjustments and calibration procedures on process equipment
Conducts preventative maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery
Collaborates with other departments to resolve maintenance issues
Maintains an electronic log of highlights during shift coverage
Performs work area inspection
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
3-5 years' experience required
Experience in the Industrial Electrical field and troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with NFP 70E, basic AC and C controls and terminology of tools, prints and equipment
Proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques
Ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematics
Strong computer, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Good driving record
Ability to travel to other locations to provide support
Ability to work overtime, night and weekend work as needed including responding to emergency calls
Provide basic tools for routine maintenance, installation and repair work
