Job Title: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Day Shift (14-Week Contract) 

Location: Snelleville, Georgia 

Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00) 

Contract Length: 14 Weeks 

Minimum Experience: 1 Year (First-time travelers not accepted)

Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced PCU Registered Nurse to join our 24-bed Progressive Care Unit for a 14-week day shift contract. This unit provides care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses. Candidates must be prepared to float.

Patient Population:

• Adults to geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include GI bleed, DKA, stroke, TIA, hypertension, NSTEMI, COPD, CHF

Unit Details:

• 24-bed PCU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• Systems used: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• No call requirements
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating required throughout facility and sister campus

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Holiday Requirements:

• If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the nurse is expected to work it
• If two major holidays fall within the assignment, both must be worked
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment, two must be worked
• No RTO permitted during Spring Break (April 6–12)

Compliance & Orientation:

• Full compliance required to start on time
• Non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Non-billable orientation hours are determined by contract length (e.g., 19 hours for 14-week assignment)

• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Aya Offer: Manager review within 48 hours of signed confirmation; offer contingent on clinical pass and meeting facility requirements
