Job Description & Requirements

Role: Psychiatric RN working only with behavioral health patients in the ED

Schedule: 36 hrs/week, every other weekend, must work 2 of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day)

Patients: Acute and chronic psych (peds–geriatric), including suicidal/homicidal ideation; may require medical stabilization

Floating: Required within psych/ED settings

Requirements:

Certifications: AHA BLS and CPI/ProAct/MOAB

Experience: 2+ years psych, plus prior travel or acute psych in a large teaching hospital

EMR: Epic (within past 2 years – required)

Notes:

IVS to offer

No block scheduling

Complete work history required; explain gaps >90 days

Reliable transportation required; winter snow-capable vehicle recommended (Nov–Apr)
