Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high quality, low stress patient care
Develop and oversee behavioral diagnosis and treatment plans
Manage and coach behavior staff
Lead research projects to advance animal behavior and welfare
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with staff
Comfortable working with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Ability to participate in humane euthanasia decisions
Fear Free certified within 6 months of hire
Low Stress Handling – Silver certified or obtain certification by end of first year
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
