Key Responsibilities

  • Complete patient registration by collecting demographics and verifying insurance eligibility
  • Utilize computer systems to enter and verify patient data
  • Process referrals and pre-authorizations according to insurance plan requirements
  • Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
  • Identify outstanding balances and attempt collection
  • Schedule appointments for patient services
  • Respond compassionately to patient inquiries
  • Generate and analyze patient data reports

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in a hospital or office setting
  • Ability to work any shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM including weekends
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
  • Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Basic mathematics for financial payments
