Key Responsibilities
Complete patient registration by collecting demographics and verifying insurance eligibility
Utilize computer systems to enter and verify patient data
Process referrals and pre-authorizations according to insurance plan requirements
Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
Identify outstanding balances and attempt collection
Schedule appointments for patient services
Respond compassionately to patient inquiries
Generate and analyze patient data reports
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
1+ years of customer service experience in a hospital or office setting
Ability to work any shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM including weekends
Must be 18 years of age or older
Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
Basic mathematics for financial payments
