Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant in SPED classrooms, where you'll support teachers and students with specialized needs. This role is perfect for those looking to make a meaningful impact through individualized support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide individualized support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for effective student support
Assist with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
