Key Responsibilities

  • Manage food cost, waste, staffing and cleanliness
  • Supervise Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure proper staffing in the kitchen
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Oversee inventory and orders
  • Ensure kitchen equipment functionality
  • Hire and train new staff
  • Maintain cleaning standards
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff
  • Work within a budget to minimize waste

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
