Key Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care support for all patients admitted
  • Manage Code Blues and supervise invasive procedures in the ICU
  • Consult with medical staff and collaborate with emergency department physicians
  • Coordinate patient care and manage specialists' consultations
  • Complete medical records and reports timely
  • Provide orientation and training for healthcare team
  • Participate in in-service education programs for staff
  • Serve as Subspecialty Education Coordinator for Internal Medicine residency program
  • Communicate effectively with referring or admitting physicians and families
  • Promote good public relations on behalf of the hospital

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
  • Completion of accredited ACGME or AOA Internal Medicine Residency
  • Completion of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care
  • Valid California medical license
  • Valid DEA license
