• Assignment Type: Travel CVICU Registered Nurse
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am), with holiday rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Float within critical care and intermediate step-down units
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free onsite parking

CVICU RN Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required before start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong cardiac care experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius (no local candidates)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
• Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-open heart surgery
• Operate advanced cardiac equipment: chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, etc.)
• Float to critical care and step-down units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
